Some projects begin as a bold visualization. And then comes the moment when you need to turn them into reality…
For Mastercard, we created a zone at Rock for People in collaboration with Follow Event Studio, featuring two towers as its centerpiece. The taller Mastercard Tower rose to a height of more than 13 meters, featured three walkable floors, and had a diameter of over 12 meters. Both structures were clad with wooden beams totaling 890 meters in length.
A chill-out space featuring artistic installations has been created on the first floor. We used more than 4.2 kilometers of orange rope just for the main suspension structure. We integrated a large-format LED screen into the upper part of the tower, on which professional photographs of visitors—taken right on the ground floor of the zone—were displayed.
And what’s the greatest reward after a challenging construction project filled with rain? When a design that was just on paper a few months ago becomes, during the festival, a natural gathering place and spot to relax—a landmark on the festival grounds, a backdrop for news reports, and one of the best views of the main stage.
